The Bermuda Red Cross has raised more than $86,000 for the Ukraine Disaster Appeal, contributing toward the international goal of raising $100 million to assist the nation, which is facing a humanitarian crisis due to Russia’s invasion.

The Bermuda Red Cross, said, “We have received just over $86,000 in donations for the Ukraine Disaster Appeal. When we have reached the $100,000 mark, we will send the funds to British Red Cross, who then work directly with the Ukraine Red Cross. This account will remain open for at least three months, or until there have been significant changes.

“The International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent [IFRC] has an initial goal of raising $100 million. To date, British Red Cross has raised $36 million.
