Field Hockey: Pink Robins & Pirates Win
A Bermuda Field Hockey double header recently took place at the National Sports Center, with 14 goals scored.
Longtails 0 – Pink Robins 4
In the opener, the Pink Robins defeated the Longtails 4 – 0. Joe Heanly gave the Pink Robins the lead in the fifth minute with a field goal. Lucy Bridges doubled the Pink Robin’s lead in the 21st minute with a field goal. In the 29th minute, Heanly scored their second field goal of the game to make it 3 – 0, and then in the 52nd minute, Jen Chisnel scored from a penalty corner to make the final score 4 – 0.
Hawks 1 – Pirates 9
The second game of the day saw the Pirates defeat the Hawks 9 – 1. The Pirates got hat tricks from Donnie Simmons and Samuel Thompson, while Nigel Deane, Jayden Pacheco, and Freddie Twite all added a goal each, while Noel Johnston scored the lone goal for the Hawks.
