Island Basketball League: Reapers & Answer Win
The Bermuda Basketball Association’s Island Basketball League continued inside the CedarBridge Academy Gymnasium with a double-header that produced 209 points in the two matches.
In the opener the Reapers defeated the Black Mambas 66 – 54. Gershon Kurt led the Reapers to victory with a double-double, he would score 24 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, while Jaren Haley led the Black Mambas in scoring and rebounds with 13 points and 3 rebounds.
In the nightcap, The Answer edged the Franchise 45 – 44. Jahzion Lugo scored 22 points and grabbed 5 rebounds to lead The Answer to victory, while Akil Smith scored 10 points, and Job Lisma had 10 rebounds for the Franchise.
