Results: Premier & First Division Football

Footballers in the Premier Division and First Division were in action this weekend, with PHC Zebras, Dandy Town Hornets, X-Roads, BAA, and Boulevard Blazers all earning wins.

Premier Division

PHC Zebras 4 – Somerset Trojans 1

At the PHC Stadium, the PHC Zebras defeated the Somerset Trojans 4 – 1 to remain two points behind the league leaders.

League leading goal scorer Enrique Russell gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 12th minute. In the 29th minute Antwan Russell doubled the lead.

The Somerset Trojans managed to get back into the game when Damon Swan scored in the 48th minute, but in the 90th minute Kushae Hypolite gave the PHC Zebras a 3 – 1 lead. In stoppage time Antwan Russell scored his second of the game to make it 4 – 1.

St. George’s Colts 0 – Dandy Town Hornets 3

At the Wellington Oval, the Dandy Town Hornets defeated the St. George’s Colts 3 – 0 to remain the league leaders by two points.

Kamali Davis gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead in the 29th minute. Tomiko Goater doubled the score in the 31st minute. Goater ended the game as a contest when he scored his second goal and his team’s fourth of the game in the 52nd minute.

Devonshire Colts 1 – X-Roads 2

At the Police Field, X-Roads threw the relegation battle wide open when they defeated the Devonshire Colts 2 – 1.

Donavan Thompson gave X-Roads the lead in the 40th minute, and then three minutes later it was 2 – 0 when Jah-von Morgan scored. The Devonshire Colts got back into the game when Shaki Swan found the back of the net, but they failed to get the equalizer as X-Roads drew level on points with the Devonshire Colts.

First Division

BAA 1 – Young Men Social Club 0

At the BAA Field, the home team remained in second place following their 1 – 0 win over Young Men Social Club.

Ireland Rangers 0 – Boulevard Blazers 10

Ian Coke scored a hat trick to lead the Boulevard Blazers to a 10 – 0 win over Ireland Rangers at Malabar. Sergio Woolridge added two goals, while Deaz Chamber, Antione Famous, Tre’jon Jefferis, Nico Smith, and an own goal gave the Boulevard Blazers the win.
