Daniel Phillips began competing in the ITF J4 Bayamón Puerto Rico Bowl.
Phillips is ranked sixth for this Hard Court Tournament, and taking on Joao Miguel Santana Rodrigues de Oliveira from Brazil in the first round, Phillips advanced with a straight-sets victory 6-0, 6-1.
