Phillips Advances In Singles In Puerto Rico
Daniel Phillips had a mixed day on his fourth day of competing in the ITF J4 Bayamón Puerto Rico Bowl where he took the court for a singles and doubles match on the day.
In his singles match, sixth seed Phillips would take on Lucca Pignaton from Brazil, Phillips won the first set 6-3, then won the second set 6-4 to advance to the semi-finals.
Phillips then teamed up with American Cyrus Mahjoob in the doubles as the second-ranked pair took on sixth seeds Americans Matvey Greschner and Tyler Nguyen, where they fell in straight-sets win 7-6, 7-5.
