Photos & Video: East End Run In The Ocean
After taking a hiatus due to the pandemic, East End Primary recently held their annual ‘Run in the Ocean’ fundraiser.
Speaking in advance of the event, a spokesperson said, “East End Primary’s annual Fundraiser, ‘Run in the Ocean’ is back. After a few years hiatus because of Covid-19, the PTA decided to jump in with a splash, this time in community partnership with the St. Regis Hotel, who will be providing access to the Fort St. Catherine’s Beach, as well as delicious hot chocolate for our participants after their 5 minute swim.
“This year East End Primary is trying to raise funds through our pledge sheets for school wi-fi, playground equipment, including outdoor classroom facilities, enabling our children to engage with our natural environment in a safe way, compatible with our new post-Covid world.
“Prizes will be won for most pledges raised, best costume, funniest costume, longest time in the ocean and more. The PTA is incredibly thrilled to be able to host our first in person event in a while, especially in partnership with The St. Regis Hotel, and of course, we will be respecting all Covid guidelines.”
