On Friday, April 22nd and Saturday, April 23rd at the Earl Cameron Theatre at City Hall, TROIKA Bermuda returns to the stage after a two year hiatus due to Covid-19 to present ‘Resurgence’ – their fourth Young Choreographers’ Showcase.

A spokesperson said, “This dance showcase will be a creative and explosive presentation highlighting the choreographic talents and passion for dance by Bermuda’s young people. Through this initiative, young performers have been encouraged to strive for their own artistic excellence.

“This initiative supports youth participation in all genres of dance. The young choreographers have submitted completed works in dance genres representative of hip hop, ballet, tap, modern, dancehall, African dance, inspirational and Caribbean folk. They have spent time creating, teaching and directing their dance pieces in preparation for the production. The production features dancers from around the island.

“The production is under the creative direction of Shanna Henry & Sacha Dill and will feature choreography by a talented group of creatives including: Eryn Beach, Jadiyah Bailey, Janaesha West, Jasiri Minors, Kevonte Jennings-Lathan, Monica Bruixola, Nasya Joell, Shia Bean and T’aja Williams.

“Over 50 talented dancers are performing in this production. Tickets are $35 for general admission and $50 for patrons. Seating is assigned; purchase tickets early to avoid disappointment at the door. Tickets can be purchased now via www.bdatix.bm.
