Golf: Match Play Championships Qualifier
The qualifying round of the Bermuda Match Play Championships took place today [April 8] at Port Royal Golf Course.
A spokesperson said, “The qualifying round of the Bermuda Match Play Championships took place today at Port Royal Golf Course. The low round of the day was Adam Perry with a score of 74.

“Unfortunately, the Ladies Division was cancelled for this weekend due to a number of conflicts which caused withdrawals making it an unviable proposition to proceed. It is our intention to re-schedule the Ladies at a later date.
“The Men’s Division has been amended to two flights of 8 as a result of a last-minute withdrawal and there will now be a Championship Flight of 8 which will determine the Bermuda Match Play Champion.
“The Senior Men’s Division will have Calvin Hendrickson taking the first seed position and Ian Page will take the 2nd seed after his qualifying round of 80.
“The 1st round of the Match Play will take place tomorrow at 7.20am and it is intended to complete two rounds on Saturday leaving some flexibility for Sunday when the weather forecast is not particularly favorable.”
