Photo Set II: USATF Games & Local Events
Some of the world’s fastest runners made their way to the Flora Duffy Stadium for the USATF Bermuda Games on Saturday [April 9] with an array of top international athletes from nations including Canada, USA, Germany, Kenya, Zambia, Great Britain, Morocco, Jamaica, Barbados, Bahamas, Trinidad & Tobago, Brazil, Haiti, France, Liberia and Bermuda in action.
A number of local entities combined to help bring this world class event to Bermuda, the main local event sponsor was Athene, the Run Jump Throw community partner was Butterfield Bank, BGA was the event hydration partner, Digicel was the wireless provider, the BNAA was the event partner, and the BTA was the presenting partner.
Prior to the main event — which was televised internationally by NBC Sports — the Athene Fastest Kid on the Rock competition and the Run Jump Throw events were held, with the island’s young athletes in action.
