Two Collisions In St David’s, One Car Overboard
[Updated with photos] While responding to a collision in St David’s this morning [April 20], the Bermuda Fire & Rescue Service received a report of another incident in which a car was in the water, so they immediately attended the second scene to assist and confirmed that both the car’s occupants “sustained non life threatening injuries.”
A spokesperson said, “On Wednesday April 20, 2022 at 11:15am, BFRS Dispatch received a report of a road traffic collision in St David’s near Dollys Bay.

“BFRS responded from Clearwater Station with one fire appliance and the ambulance with a total of four firefighters. On arrival, RTC fire crews found one car which had hit a wall. The driver of the car did not have any injuries.
“While at this incident BFRS Dispatch received a report of another incident where a vehicle had slid of the road into the water near Stokes Bridge St Davids. Crews immediately left the scene of the first RTC and responded to the vehicle in the water.
“On arrival to the vehicle in the water, fire crews found that there were two occupants and both were out of the car. Both sustained non life threatening injuries and were treated at the scene by Fire Service EMT’s then transported to KEMH via ambulance.
“The cause of both RTC’s are under investigation by Bermuda Police Service.”
Update 3.40pm: A police spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Police Service can confirm two of its officers were involved in a single vehicle collision near Stokes Bridge, St. David’s around 11:20 a.m. today, Wednesday 20th April, 2022.
“Thankfully, neither officer was seriously hurt. Out of an abundance of caution, both officers were transported via ambulance to Kind Edward Hospital for treatment to their injuries.
“The vehicle was extensively damaged. Traffic was diverted away from the area while the scene was processed by Traffic Collision Investigators.
“Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 211 or 295-0011.”
