BUEI To Host Spring Market This Saturday
The Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute will hold their Spring Market this Saturday, May 7th, from 10am until 3pm.
A spokesperson said, “Local vendors are excited to provide the perfect last-minute gift for Mother’s Day at BUEI’s Spring Market this Saturday, May 7th, from 10am until 3pm. The Spring Market provides the perfect opportunity for local vendors and artisans to showcase their products and interact with patronsin a safe environment.
“A wide range of unique products from over 20 local vendors will be available for purchase on each of BUEI’s three levels. Among the many items being sold are: Women’s Clothing, Jewelry, Herbal Tea Blends, Luxury Handbags, Candles, Aromatherapy Oils and Diffusers, Bermuda Cedar Goods, Children’s Books & Toys, Home Décor, Baked Goods and much more!
“In addition to the market, BUEI will host a complimentary screening of two films throughout the day in the Tradewinds Auditorium.
“The first film, set to start at 11am, is the 2016 romantic comedy ‘Mother’s Day’ starring Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, Julia Roberts and Jason Sudeikis. As Mother’s Day nears, a group of seemingly unconnected people in Atlanta come to terms with their relationships with their mothers.
“The second film, scheduled for 1pm, is the 2006 drama ‘Akeelah the Bee’ which follows the life of an 11-year-old girl living in South Los Angeles as she nurtures her talent for spelling and pursues her dream of taking part in the National Spelling Bee.
“Tram rides throughout the city of Hamilton are also available between 11am and 2pm at a price of $5 per person with children under the age of 2 riding for free.
“Admission and parking are free. While masks are not mandatory, we do encourage patrons to wear a mask when unable to socially distance. Please note that BUEI’s exhibits will be open for this event. If you would like more information about the event, email exec@buei.bm.”
