Mirrors’ 60 Day Act Of Kindness Challenge

May 3, 2022

Attorney-General and Minister of Legal Affairs and Constitutional Reform Kathy Lynn Simmons has launched Mirrors’ 60 Day Act of Kindness challenge, with the initiative aiming to “help communities rebuild neighbourhood connections to counter anti-social behaviour.”

A Government spokesperson said, “On Good Friday, Mirrors took part in the ‘Pause for Peace’ gathering at Devonshire Recreation Club, with Imagine Bermuda and other stakeholders. The purpose of the gathering was to address the challenges we face as a community, and come together through connection and unity to show support. Mirrors is now thrilled to be a part of this initiative to remind our neighbouring communities that we care.

“The ‘Acts of Kindness’ idea is to help communities rebuild neighbourhood connections to counter anti-social behaviour. Kindness is proven to impact an individual’s mental and physical well-being significantly. It can also act as a bridge to form relationships and heal rifts, believing that kindness grows kindness.

“We encourage all of Bermuda to participate in the challenge [see attached flyer] by posting your act of kindness with these three hashtags:

  • #ACommunityThatCaresBermuda;
  • #Parish [or neighbourhood name]; and
  • #Bermuda2022.
