Athene Celebrates Opening Of Office Space
Athene hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the official opening of its new office space on June 15.
A spokesperson said, “Established in 2009, Athene’s Bermuda-based office has experienced tremendous growth over the past 13 years driving the need for a larger office space. The new space is located on the Second Floor, Washington House, 16 Church Street, Hamilton.

“Members of the Bermuda government including the Deputy Premier and Minister of Home Affairs, and the Minister of Economy and Labour attended the event to join employees and other invited guests at the official opening of the new space.

“Plans to create a modern and more spacious office for the expanding firm on the second floor of Washington House began in 2020. Athene created this new space to reflect its employees’ needs, emphasizing the health and safety of its people.”

“Congratulations to Athene on the opening of their new office. I am happy to join the company and its staff in officially opening their new office space in Washington House and thank them for their dedication to our island, to hiring and training Bermudians and now providing their team with this modern, spacious office for doing business,” said Deputy Premier and Minister of Home Affairs Walter Roban.
The space offers many amenities including adjustable desks for a more productive workspace, private phone booths to allow business calls to be made with privacy in the office and larger meeting rooms and cubicles allowing for a more collaborative work environment. The new office has a capacity of 125 people which is more than double the previous office’s capacity.
