Bermuda Inline Ball Hockey: Pirates & Pistols Win

The Bermuda inline ball hockey season got underway at the PCC Hockey Rink with a double header that produced 16 goals.

Pembroke Pirates 5 – Boaz Island Beer Barons 3

The Pembroke Pirates defeated the Boaz Island Beer Barons 5 – 3 in the opener.

The Pembroke Pirates took a 1 – 0 lead when Matty Ingleman scored, but the Boaz Island Beer Barons drew level when Marcel Bouwens scored. The Pembroke Pirates got back in front in the first period when Jeff Ingleman scored.

Ingleman extended the Pembroke Pirates’ lead in the second period when he made it 3 – 1 and then the Pembroke Pirates went ahead 4 – 1 when Hart Freedman scored. The Boaz Island Beer Barons got themselves back into the game when Kyan Oakley scored to make it 4 – 2.

Ingleman completed his hat trick and extended the Pembroke Pirates’ lead in the third period to 5 – 2, but the Boaz Island Beer Barons pulled a goal back when Bouwens scored his second goal of the game.

Hamilton Hurricanes 2 – Paget Pistols 6

Another eight goals were scored in the nightcap as the Paget Pistols defeated the Hamilton Hurricanes 6 – 2.

Chris Grantier led the Paget Pistols to victory with two goals, while Richard Campbell, Josh Wilson, Will Walker, and Matthew Katzsch all added a goal each. Matt Benson and Chris Jackson scored a goal each for the Hamilton Hurricanes.
