Hakuna Mata Lions lost to Team Smokey 19 to 9 but still won the B Division title. The Lions’ recent lack of power continued in this contest, with Shannon Raynor [2-3] being the only person to homer for the team. Troy Hall [3-4], AJ Mallory [2-4], and Preston Mallory [2-4] also handled the bat well in the loss. A huge 10-run third inning was fire for Smokey. Justin Brookes [2-3] had the team’s only homer, but Eugene Dyer [3-4], Quincey Jones [3-5], Albert Ramneriz [3-4, 3 doubles], Jason Ming [3-4], and Che Edmead [3-3] showed what a balanced attack Smokey had.

The Beach Bums-Raggamuffins was called in the seventh inning, with the Bums ahead 15 to 9. Jeff Olson [4-4] was perfect at the plate for the Beach. Teammates Corey Simas, Jordan DaSilva, and Tom Hart were all 3-4 in the win.

In the C Division, Mike’s Trucking beat Butterfield & Vallis Sliders 17 to 3. John Outerbridge [3-4], Brandon Ray [3-3], and William DaSilva [3-4] all had three hits for Trucking. At the same time, Mike Oliviera smacked a homer and had 4 RBI. Quincey Bean [2-4] was the top batter for B&V.

Super Express kept their title hopes alive by defeating Mike’s Trucking 21 to 8. The Express secured the victory by scoring seven runs in the sixth inning. Phillip Burgess was the big bat going 4-4 with two homers and three RBI. Dennis Joell was also 4-4, but leadoff man Victor Fishington [3-5], Garic Swainson [2-3], Clay Carlington 3-4], and Antonia Jackson [2-2] all had good turns with the bat. Trucking picked up five runs in the third but never put the pedal to the metal in any other inning. Carlos Lima [3-4], Jaylen Martin [2-3, 2 HR], and John Outerbridge [2-3] were the top batters for Trucking.

Oddballs disconnected KillaWhat 23 to 17. Shortstop Tyler Bordeau [3-4] homered twice for Oddballs. Adams Fenos [4-5] drove in six runs with two triples and a double. Brian Lewis [3-4] and Matt Witkowski [2-5, 5 runs] also contributed to the W.

Corporation of Hamilton downed Five O’s 13 to 3 and beat B&V 16 to 5. A nine-run fourth inning sealed the deal for CoH in the Vallis victory. Phillip Anderson got the job done at the top of the order for CoH as he went 3-3 with a homer. Quinn Simmons [3-4] also homered, while Jari Ming and Jamel Warren were both 2-3. Patrick Murdoch [2-4] and Aaron Madeiros [2-3] were the only Vallis batters with two hits. In the game versus the five O’s, Simmons [3-4], Warren [3-3], and Ming [2-3] also had excellent games. Anderson [2-4] homered again. Chris Sabean [2-3] was the only Five-O with more than one hit.
