“Now is the time to get the coronavirus vaccine or get boosted,” said Minister of Health, Kim Wilson, JP, MP. “Time is running out. There will be no vaccines in July and August, and those getting their first Covid-19 vaccination now will have to wait until Autumn for their second vaccination.

“Vaccination is recognised globally as one of the essential measures individuals can take to protect themselves, their loved ones and their community.

“All Bermuda residents play a critical role in helping reduce the spread and impact of the coronavirus. While not mandatory, the Ministry of Health strongly urges all individuals to get the coronavirus vaccination. If you are vaccinated and test positive, you are less likely to experience severe illness, less likely to require hospitalisation and die.”

“Vaccines are offered to Bermuda’s residents who meet the following criteria:

  • “Patients aged 12 and above are eligible for 1st, 2nd or 3rd dose. The time between the 1st and 2nd dose must be at least 21 days. The time between the 2nd dose and 3rd dose booster must be at least 5 months.
  • “Residents 50 years or older, and immunocompromised residents are eligible for a 4th dose of the Covid-19 vaccine provided their 3rd dose was at least 5 months ago.

“Covid-19 vaccinations will not be available in July and August

Clearly Covid is not that important anymore, so stop the fear mongering and let people live again. Lift the Emergency Measures as not required, and if masks are needed have a debate in the HoA. Abolish the TAF too and try and save something from tourism for 2022. Not that the PLP cares, they have their fees and salaries paid for by debt.
