Bermuda Volleyball Team Win Two Games
After the first day of play in the Eastern Caribbean Senior Men’s Championship in Antigua, the Bermuda Men’s National Team are second in their division after recording two victories.
A spokesperson said, “After the first day of play, the Bermuda Men’s National Team are placed 2nd in their pool. Their group consists of Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Grenada and Saint Kitts & Nevis.
“The men won their first match of the day in 3 sets against Anguilla, winning 25-15, 25-22 and 27-25. The second match of the day was against one of the toughest in the group, hosts Antigua & Barbuda. They lost the first two sets 22-25 and 20-25, but fought back extremely hard to take the next sets 27-25 and 28-26, taking them to the deciding fifth set. They won the match after defeating Antigua 15-11 in a thrilling final set.
“Friday’s games include Grenada at 1pm AST and St. Kitts & Nevis at 7:00pm AST.”
