Patton Wins ILCA7 Atlantic Coast In New York
Bermuda sailor Campbell Patton won the ILCA7 Atlantic Coast Championships in Larchmont, New York, at the weekend.
The 21-year-old finished the championships with a total of 21 points.
Patton told Sail-World that making strong starts was the key to his title.
“I executed that pretty well for most races and when I didn’t, I struggled, and it was a big catch-up game.”
Other Bermudians competing at the championships were Benn Smith, of the RBYC and Spanish Point Boat Club, who placed eighth with 63 points.
Bermudian Christopher Adderley came 20th in a fleet of 35 sailors with 113 points.
