Football: U23 League & Knockout Cup Update

The Bermuda Football Association [BFA] provided an update for the U23 League and Knockout Cup.

A spokesperson said, “Somerset CC are the first team book their spot in the inaugural U23 Knockout Summer Cup, after defeating PHC 3-2 in their quarterfinal match up on Monday, July 4th.

“Joshua Joseph gave the zebras the lead in the 18th minute. Kymani McNeil scored twice to give the Trojans the lead. Arnezha Astwood leveled the score on the 83rd minute. Zeiko Saltus then scored in injury time to send the Trojans into the semifinal.

“The U23 Knockout continues Monday, July 11th at Goose Gosling Field with BAA taking on Hamilton Parish WC at 7pm and Devonshire Colts FC vs [WSSC] Dandy Town at 9pm. North Village received a Bye and will automatically progress to the next round. The U23 KO final is schedule to take place on Friday, July 22.

“The U23 League will conclude next week and will see league leaders North Village CC face second place [WSSC] Dandy Town on Wednesday at 9:00pm at the Goose Gosling Field in a match that will decide who will be the U23 summer champions.”
