Future Leaders Meet With Premier Burt
Premier David Burt recently spent time with participants in the Future Leaders Bermuda programme, noting that “they asked very thought provoking questions on a number of topics.”
In an online post, Premier David Burt said, “Enjoyed spending time and engaging with the young people of Future Leaders Bermuda on Monday at Bermuda College.
“We had open discussions regarding my role as Premier and they asked very thought provoking questions on a number of topics such as; the government’s position on poverty, minimum wage, the lack of jobs, gang/gun violence including what programmes are in place to deter violence, and ways in which government can intervene in private homes to assist.”
The logical follow up to this is to ask the future leaders what they thought about the responses to their questions, and whether the Premier actually listened and took in their concerns.
