Appointment Of Assistant Justices

In exercise of the powers conferred upon her by Section 73[6] of the Constitution, Her Excellency the Governor has, after consultation with the Chief Justice, extended until 30 September 2022 the appointment of Dr Ian Rowe Chukudinka Kawaley as an Assistant Justice of the Supreme Court of Bermuda, which appointment commenced on 1 January 2020, to sit on such day or days during the aforesaid period as may be agreed from time to time.

BELCO Weekend Trench Work

Weekend Of August 6th And 7th, 2022

Weekend Of August 13th and 14th, 2022

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that BELCO will need to undertake weekend trench works on Middle Road, Southampton between the stretch of Riviera Road and Rebecca Road. This work will require a full road closure for the safety of the public and the construction workers.

Working hours will be from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm on Saturday, August 6th and Sunday, August 7th, 2022 and possibly the following weekend of August 13th and 14th, 2022.

Traffic controls will be under direction of Intelligent Trenching representatives and will be managed via traffic control barricades and signage. Access will be granted to residents and emergency vehicles.

Detour routes will be via South Road, Lighthouse Road, Southampton Princess Road, Camp Hill & Camp Road. The public are advised to use detour routes during the road closure over the two weekends.

Bus routes will be rerouted to South Road.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
