Myeisha Sharrieff Wins CCCAN Swim Medal
Bermuda claimed another medal at the Central American and Caribbean Amateur Swimming Confederation [CCCAN] in Barbados, with Myeisha Sharrieff winning the bronze medal in the 15-17 100 meter backstroke final.
The island had a number of other swimmers in action in the finals; Elijah Daley finished 6th with a time of 4:50.04 competing in the 15-17 boys 400 meter individual medley, while Connor Hupman clocked a time of 27.88 during the 11-12 boys 50 meter freestyle final finishing 8th.
In the 13-14 girls 50 meter freestyle final, Imojen Judd finished 7th with a time of 28.32, and Jesse Washington touched the wall in a time of 24.26 finishing T7th in the boys 18 & over 50 meter freestyle final.
In the 11-12 girls 100 meter backstroke final, Arabella Newport Derbyshire finished 4th with a time of 1:13.59, while Violet Smith finished 5th clocking 1:13.75.
Hupman was 8th in the 11-12 boys 100 meter backstroke final clocking a time of 1:11.89, Judd finished 7th in the 13-14 girls 100 meter backstroke final with a time of 1:10.99, while Marleigh Howes finished 8th clocking 1:11.87.
Taylor White clocked a time of 1:09.77 finishing 6th in the 15-17 girls 100 meter backstroke final, and Brian Desmond was clocked at 1:02.94 finishing 7th in the boys 18 & over 100 meter backstroke final.
During the 11-12 girls 200 meter butterfly final, Newport-Derbyshire finished 6th with a time of 2:41.74, while White clocked a time of 2:35.58 finishing 6th in the 15-17 girls 200 meter butterfly final.
The Bermuda 13-14 girls 4×200 meter freestyle relay team of Howes, Elanna Fulton, Ava Pedro, and Judd finished 4th with a time of 9:21.88.
With a time of 8:54.64 the Bermuda 13-14 boys 4×200 meter freestyle Relay team of Thomas Cechini, Nathan Burrill, Hupman, and Seth Samuels finished 6th.
White, Bella Howes, Adriana Argent, and Tayla Horan finished 4th competing in the 15-17 girls 4×200 meter freestyle relay clocking a time of 9:11.09.
The Bermuda team of Brandon Adkins, Finn Moseley, Flynn Watson-Brown, and Daley finished 5th in the 15-17 boys 4×200 meter freestyle relay final.
