Bermuda Win On Final Day In Caribbean Squash
Bermuda players James Dodgson and Peter Drury concluded competing in the WATA XXVII Senior Caribbean Singles and Doubles Championships 2022 in Jamaica.
James Dodgson competed in the men’s singles 40 round robin division and came from behind to defeat Jodi Jervis from the Cayman Islands 3 – 2.
Dodgson won the first game 14-12, but Jervis won the second game 12-10 to level the match. Jervis then took a 2 – 1 lead by winning the third game 11-9. Dodgson leveled the match at 2 – 2 by winning the fourth game 11-8. The fifth and final game saw Dodgson pick up the win 11-4.
Drury, competing in the men’s singles 50 round robin division, picked up his third win in the division as he defeated Keith Higgins from Cayman Islands 3 – 0 in a 15-minute battle.
Drury won the first game 11-8, before winning the second game 11-2, and then closing out the match by winning the third game 11-3.
