Male Injured In Assault At Residence In Sandys
A 19-year-old-male “sustained facial injuries” during an assault at Sandys residence, with the police confirming that it was “reported that the victim responded to someone ringing the front door bell at his residence” and “upon opening the door police were told he was confronted by a male who allegedly cut him in the face with a bladed article.”
A police spokesperson said, “Shortly after 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, 31st July, 2022, police received a report that a nineteen-year-old-male sustained facial injuries during an assault at a Mangrove Bay, Sandys Parish residence.
“It was reported that the victim responded to someone ringing the front door bell at his residence. Upon opening the door police were told he was confronted by a male who allegedly cut him in the face with a bladed article.
“The suspect is described as a dark skinned male, approximately 5’11” in height, dressed in black clothing and wore a grey helmet with a mask over his face.
“He is reported to have left the area, travelling south on East Shore Road on a dark grey, Sym motorcycle, with black tape covering the license plate.
“This matter remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to call 211, the main police number 295-0011 or the confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.”
