Perinchief Wins Silver Medal At NACAC
Jah-Nhai Perinchief won Bermuda’s first medal at the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletic Association [NACAC] Track and Field Championships when he claimed the silver medal in the triple jump with a top leap of 15.89m.
Other Bermuda athletes were also in action in the event in the Bahamas; Antonio Bailey took to the track for the men’s 400m preliminaries, where he finished 5th in his heat clocking a time of 50:40, which saw him finish 11th overall.
Mikal Dill and Sadiq Nurse competed in the men’s long jump, Dill finished 12th with a top leap of 6.21m, while Nurse was 13th with a top leap of 5.92m.
Sakari Famous finished 4th in the women’s high jump with a top leap of 1.78m.
Tiara DeRosa was in action in the women’s discus, with a top toss of 46.42m which saw her finish 6th.
Keturah Bulford-Trott finished 6th in heat one of the women’s 200m clocking a time of 26.03, resulting in her finishing 10th overall.
Suresh Black was in action in the 200m, Black finished second in heat three clocking a time of 21.42, which saw him finish 8th overall.
