Bermuda started competing in the Caribbean Zonal Volleyball Association [CAZOVA] Under-23 Invitational Beach Volleyball Tournament in Trinidad.
The women’s team of Amber Simons and Kaylee Trott defeated their Jamaican opponents in a three-set battle; Bermuda won game one 21 – 14, Jamaica won game two 21 – 10, and in the third set tie-breaker, Bermuda claimed the 5 – 12 victory.
In the men’s match, Bermuda’s Connor Somerville and Ben Barnett lost 21 – 15, 21 – 14 to Trinidad.
