Bermuda Airport Available For Flight Simulator
Players of Microsoft’s popular Flight Simulator software can now virtually visit Bermuda, with two companies releasing add-ons for the game that feature L.F. Wade International Airport.
Regarding the Bermuda add-on released by company FeelThere, the Sim Market website said, “L.F. Wade International Airport [IATA: BDA, ICAO: TXKF], formerly named Bermuda International Airport.
“The airport has two custom modelled passenger terminals, one cargo terminal, and can support all aircraft sizes up to and including the Boeing 777 & Airbus A380.Its runway 12/30 is 9,713 feet in length and 150 feet wide.
“There are eleven taxiways. Humid ‘subtropical’ climate characterized by hot, humid summers and cool winters. Significant amounts of precipitation occur in all seasons in most areas.
“Features
- Custom ground polygon containing realistic decals, painted lines & grime
- Improved night lighting
- Emissive taxi signs
- Custom building models including the brand new Terminal 2 building
- Modelled causeway leading to the airport
- Airport Services to exclude marshallers and pushbacks from taxi-out locations

Regarding the Bermuda add-on released by company SLH Sim Designs, the Sim Market website said, “Bermuda, a British overseas territory in the North Atlantic Ocean, only has one airport, L.F. Wade International Airport [IATA: BDA, ICAO: TXKF], which was originally known as Bermuda International Airport. It is situated in the parish of St. George’s, 6 NM [11 km; 6.9 mi] northeast of Hamilton, the island’s capital.
“It features one terminal for passengers, one cargo terminal, eight stands for aircraft, and can accommodate all sizes of aircraft up to and including the Airbus A380. At the moment, eight passenger or cargo airlines run seasonal or year-round scheduled services from Canada, the United Kingdom, and the United States to Bermuda Airport.

Just MSFS
That is good to know about the update. I currently have both of the leading flight simulators including Real Flight and Microsoft Flight Simulator along with the throttle and joystick. For Bermuda flying, I really prefer Microsoft over Real Flight because of the realist scenery with the homes, buildings and churches and even the traffic drives on the left hand side of the road.
MSFS only. And there is a better version of the airport by another developer. So there are two for the picking.
The other Bermuda sim is by SLH Sim Designs.
