Charity To Hold French-Themed Fundraiser
Friends of Hospice, the charity supporting Agape House and hospice care in Bermuda are planning a French themed fundraiser to take place on Saturday [Sept 24] at the Media Lounge in Dockyard.
A spokesperson said, “Friends of Hospice, the charity supporting Agape House and hospice care in Bermuda are planning a French themed fundraiser to take place on Saturday, September 24th, at the Media Lounge in Dockyard.
“The event will include a private viewing of the newly released Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris, a historical comedy-drama film based on the 1958 novel Mrs. ‘Arris Goes to Paris by Paul Gallico. The film depicts the adventures of a widowed housekeeper in 1950s London, who falls madly in love with a couture Dior dress, and decides that she must have one of her own.

“Before the movie viewing begins, warm smiles, canapés, and welcome beverages reminiscent of Paris will greet the participants. There will be a dedicated space for photo opportunities and some props available for use and everyone is encouraged to come dressed in theme, as they interpret it and prizes for Best Parisian and Most Creative Costume will be awarded. A soft drink and popcorn are also included in the ticket price of $50.00.
