UN: ‘Digital Economy In Small Island States’
The United Nations Development Programme [UNDP] Global Centre for Technology, Innovation, and Sustainable Development launched a “survey of people aged 18-35 years old in small island developing states around the world, including Bermuda” and people are invited to take part via a Facebook or WhatsApp chatbot.
A spokesperson said, “We are delighted to launch the UNDP SIDS Youth Survey on Digital Futures, a survey of young people [aged 18-35 years old] in small island developing states around the world — including Bermuda. The survey aims to explore the hopes, aspirations, and concerns of young people relating to digital and digital technologies.
“It is this generation that will play a key role in shaping the next generation of technology, and this survey will be important in guiding efforts to best support digital development in small states — placing the hopes, dreams, and considerations of young people at the fore.”
The survey can be accessed via Facebook messenger or WhatsApp.
