A sense of empowerment and trust has allowed people to deliver on their responsibilities and feel valued for their contribution, reflected in high Trust Index scores of 92%.
“Bacardi people praise the fact that they are treated fairly, regardless of age, sexual orientation, or gender, and managers provide honest feedback and transparency about the company’s current and future vision and strategy. They also cite that they feel a close bond with their teams thanks to the family atmosphere at Bacardi.
“These sentiments are echoed in 100% of employees saying they are proud to tell others they work for Bacardi, and 97% feel good about the many ways the company contributes to local communities. Bacardi invests in ESG initiatives that set goals for a safer, brighter, and greener future for all, focusing on doing the right thing by its consumers, employees, business partners, the communities where it operates, and the environment.
“The company continues to extend its actions beyond its workforce to its local communities. Earlier this year, Bacardi partnered with the Beyond Plastic Bermuda campaign, a collaboration between Bermuda Environmental Sustainability Taskforce (BEST) and Keep Bermuda Beautiful (KBB), to educate the local community about the dangers of plastic pollution and encourage actions to reduce single-use plastic on the Island. The company also plans to launch the ‘Shake Your Future’ program in Bermuda in January 2023, helping unemployed people in Bermuda to gain skills and training to secure jobs in the hospitality industry as bartenders.”
“Bacardi is a truly dynamic, innovative, and fun place to work, and I am proud of the results and feedback we’ve received from our people. The high engagement scores, positive sentiment, and appreciation for our efforts to cultivate a culture of belonging and community care are an incredible achievement,” says Douglas Mello, Managing Director of Bacardi in Bermuda. “The Great Place to Work certification is positive reflection of our efforts to value our teams in Bermuda.”
