BBA Announce Caribbean Championship Teams
The Executive Committee of the Bermuda Bicycle Association has named the Elite and Under 23 teams for the upcoming Caribbean Road Championships to be held in the Dominican Republic on October 22nd and 23rd.
Elite Team: Caitlin Conyers [Road Race & Time Trial], Gabby Arnold [Road Race], Kaden Hopkins [Road Race & Time Trial], Conor White [Road Race & Time Trial]
Under 23 Team: Nicholas Narraway [Road Race], Liam Flannery [Road Race], and Alexander Miller [Road Race]
Bermuda is permitted to send a team of up to 5 men [total for Elite and Under 23 combined] and 3 women [total for Elite and Under 23 combined]. However, only 2 riders per country are permitted for the Time Trial per gender regardless of category.
For Flannery and Miller, this will be their debut at this next level.
These Championships are a qualifying event for both the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games [CAC Games] next summer and the 2023 Pan Am Games next fall.
For CAC, there are 2 spots to be earned in the Time Trial and 6 spots in the Road Race. For Pan Am Games, there is just 1 spot available, earned by winning the Caribbean Championships Road Race.
Darrin Glasford will head up the team as manager.
