OBA Congratulates Prime Minister Sunak
OBA Leader Cole Simons congratulated the new British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, saying that they “look forward to working with him when required.”
Mr. Simons said, “On behalf of the One Bermuda Alliance, I would like to send our warmest congratulations to the U.K.’s new Prime Minister, Mr. Rishi Sunak.
“At a time when the country desperately needs stability, Mr. Sunak appears to bring a steady hand to the role, along with his professional experience in international finance and merchant banking.
“This is also a very historic moment for the UK, as he is not only the first Asian Prime Minister, he is also Britain’s first Prime Minister of colour.
“Now the newly appointed Prime Minister has the colossal task of bringing the UK together and providing some degree of comfort to capital markets, both locally and globally.
“As the One Bermuda Alliance, we look forward to working with him when required.”
