Bus Detours Due To World Triathlon Event
The Department of Public Transportation [DPT] is advising that there will be detours in effect for Route 1,2,3,7 and 8 buses due to road closures associated with the World Triathlon.
A Government spokesperson said, “The detours will be in effect on Saturday, November 5th and Sunday November 6th. Journey times on all affected routes will be impacted by the detours.
Saturday November 5th 6:00 am to approximately 2:00pm
“Outbound Route 1,2,3,7 and 8 buses will travel via Cedar Avenue, Palmetto Road to Barkers Hill Round-a-bout. Route 3 buses will then travel via Barker’s Hill and rejoin their normal route on Middle Road Devonshire. Route 1,2,7 and 8 buses will travel via Barker’s Hill, Middle Road Devonshire, Tee Street, South Road, rejoining their normal route at Trimingham Hill Round-a-bout.
“Inbound Route 1,2,7 and 8 buses will travel via Trimingham Hill Round-a-bout, South Road, Tee Street, Middle Road Devonshire, Orange Valley Road, Palmetto Road, Cedar Avenue. Route 3 buses will travel via Middle Road Devonshire, Orange Valley Road, Palmetto Road, Cedar Avenue.
Saturday November 5th 2:00pm to approximately 6:00pm
“Outbound Route 1,2,3,7 and 8 buses will travel via Cedar Avenue, Palmetto Road, Frog Lane, Montpelier Road and Middle Road Devonshire. Route 3 buses will then rejoin their normal route. Route 1,2,7 and 8 buses will then travel via Tee Street to South Road, rejoining their normal route at Trimingham Hill Round-a-bout.
“Inbound Route 1,2,7 and 8 buses will travel via Tee Street, Middle Road Devonshire, Montepelier Road, Frog Lane, Palmetto Road, Cedar Avenue. Inbound Route 3 buses will travel via Middle Road Devonshire, Montepelier Road, Frog Lane, Palmetto Road, Cedar Avenue.
Sunday November 6th 7:00 am until approximately 5:00pm
“Outbound Route 1,2,3,7 and 8 buses will travel via Cedar Avenue, Palmetto Road, Frog Lane, Montpelier Road and Middle Road Devonshire. Route 3 buses will then rejoin their normal route.
