Golf: Four-Ball Championship Round 1 Results

“The 2022 Bermuda Fourball Championships is being hosted at Port Royal Golf Course. In winds gusting to 30 knots, 72 golfers faced stiff challenges on the Port Royal Golf Course today.
“In the Men’s Championship the low round of the day saw the team of James Godwin & Chris Ford as well as Jarryd Dillas & Damian Palanyandi post a one-under-par score of 70 to take the lead in round 1. They are closely followed by four teams who all carded a one over par 72.
“In the Ladies Championship Division, the team of Tracy Burgess and Ann Symonds performed well carding a score of 75 to take a one-shot lead over Linda Down & Ebonie Cox..
“In the Senior Men’s division Calvin Hendrickson & Craig Christensen have a commanding 5 shot lead over the 2nd place team of Nitin Aggarwal & Ian Page.
“However, with the weather forecast for the final round calling for similar high winds, it will be a test of endurance and there may be some surprising results.”
