Take Five Donates 600 Meals To Families
Take Five teamed up with the Seventh-day Adventist Church to donate 600 meals to families in need across the island on Christmas Eve.
A spokesperson said, “The holiday season is traditionally a time when the world expresses love in the form of giving and it is to that end, Take Five teamed up with the Bermuda Conference of Seventh-day Church to donate 600 meals to families in need across the island on Christmas Eve. Our primary sponsor for our Christmas meals this year is D&J Construction.
“The Bermuda Conference of Seventh-day Adventist has a significant legacy of community service which incorporates their weekly feeding programs at many of their churches along with a host of community-based programs and initiatives.
“The donation reflects an organizational effort and commitment to spread a little joy, with staff of Take Five Limited and D&J Construction contributing towards the purchase of ingredients.”
Meisha Medford, the Head of Human Resources, said, “It is truly an honour to give back to our community. We understand first hand that the last two years have been difficult. We felt a strong duty to give back where and how we could. While Christmas is the primary season of giving, we did not want to wait for December, and that is why the initiative was spread out throughout the year, with December being our largest meal donation.”
The spokesperson said, “Take Five Ltd also supports the Eliza Dolittle Society, Meals on Wheels, and Daily Bread to provide weekly meals to people who need it most.
“Take Five Ltd. recognizes the importance of partnerships and community outreach and in the end, we plan to continue this specific community initiative, and we continue to look for more collaborators.”
