England took the lead through Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson with a close-range finish after excellent work by the impressive Jude Bellingham.

Harry Kane, the Tottenham Hotspur striker, netted his first goal of the tournament before the interval, lashing home after latching onto a through ball from Bellingham.

England made it three when Bukayo Saka, the Arsenal winger, chipped Edouard Mendy, Senegal’s goalkeeper, after a cross from the left by Phil Foden.
