LGBTQ+ Insurance Network Launching Chapter
Link [LGBTQ+ Insurance Network] will be launching a new chapter in Bermuda on Thursday, January 26, with an event set to take place at AXA XL on Bermudiana Road from 5.00pm to 7.30pm.
The Eventbrite website said, “Join colleagues from across the market as we come together to launch the Bermudian chapter of Link, the cross-insurance LGBTQ+ network.
“This informal event provides an opportunity to meet the newly formed steering committee to hear more about Link and how you can get involved. Drinks and nibbles will be provided, and we hope this will be the first of many Link Bermuda events in 2023.
“We will also be joined by representatives from OUTBermuda to hear more about LGBTQ+ events and programs planned for 2023. OUTBermuda is the only registered charity on island dedicated to the wellbeing of the LGBTQ+ community.
“Link was founded in 2012 and its mission is to make the insurance industry the employer of choice for the LGBTQ+ community. Link runs fantastic networking events and collaborates with many firms across the industry. We are pleased to launch a Bermuda chapter to support Link on its journey towards making insurance a more attractive sector for all talent globally.
“Link Bermuda aims to:
- “Engage and collaborate with [re]insurance LGBTQ+ colleagues & allies and diversity networks to drive inclusion and acceptance within the workplace;
- “Build awareness and support work-place initiatives on matters relating to the LGBTQ+ community; and
- “Provide networking opportunities & safe spaces for the LGBTQ+ community & allies working in Bermuda’s [re]insurance industry.
