Removal Of Vegetation Off The Cliff Face

Weekend Of January 14 & January 15, 2023

Sunday January 22, 2023

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring and pedestrian public that Black Watch Pass will need to be closed to accommodate the vegetarian removal along the upper cliff face.

The road closure and vegetarian removal is to commence only on weekends. The first weekend will be on Saturday, January 14, 2023 through Sunday, January 15, 2023. The next weekend will be only on Sunday, January 22, 2023.

Traffic controls will be under the direction of the Ministry of Public Works’ representatives and will be managed with road closure from 7:00 am until 5:00 pm on weekends.

Motorists and pedestrians are advised to use alternative routes via North Shore Road or Marsh Folly Road during the road closure. There will be no access granted for pedestrians during this road closure due to the anticipation of the ongoing falling debris.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

Tuesday, January 10, 2023 Through Friday, March 31, 2023

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to notify the motoring public of the ongoing paving works on Harrington Sound Road in Hamilton Parish.

The permanent asphalt reinstatement is ongoing down both lanes on Harrington Sound Road to reach Paynters Road junction.

These paving works will require a single lane closure and will commence Tuesday, January 10, 2023 through to Friday, March 31, 2023. Working hours will be from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, weekly Monday through Friday.

Motorists are advised to drive cautiously past the paving sites and avoid speeding to protect the construction workers on site or avoid Harrington Sound Road by using alternative routes via North Shore Road for the duration of this trench work.

Traffic controls will be under the direction of the Ministry of Public Works’ representatives and will be managed through traffic control signals and stop and go signs during rush hours.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that the North Shore Road lane closure for trench work will continue on North Shore Road from Loyal Hill to Store Hill, Devonshire.

The lane closure will commence Monday, January 9, 2023 until Friday, June 30, 2023.

Working hours will be from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, daily Monday through Sunday.

Motorists are asked to drive carefully through this section or make use of detour routes via Barker’s Hill or Store Hill to Middle Road.

Traffic controls will be under the direction of BELCO representatives and will be managed through traffic control signals and signage.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
