Tennis: Daniel Phillips Competes In Costa Rica
Daniel Phillips took to the court for the J60 San Jose Tennis Tournament in Costa Rica, competing in both singles and doubles action.
In his second round singles match, Phillips took on Michael Kouame from France, with Kouame winning in straight sets 7-6, 7-6.
Phillips then teamed up with Luis Carvalho from Brazil in the doubles, defeating Canadian pair Owen Nguyen and Winston Zhang in a three set battle.
Nguyen and Zhang won the first set 7-6. Phillips and Carvalho leveled the match at 1 – 1 when they won the second set 7-6, and then clinched the victory by winning the third set 10-7, allowing them to advance.
