Snooker Championship & Open Underway
The start of Bermuda Snooker Association’s National Championship, the Bermuda Open Singles, got underway.
Peter Bromby defeated Stewart Greenslade 2 – 0 at the Sandys Boat Club.
Bromby raced into a 1-0 advantage over Greenslade, taking the 1st game 61-46, despite his best efforts, Greenslade succumbed to Bromby’s onslaught in the 2nd, the latter taking the game comfortably, 52-25.
In other tournament action, Chris Dakin defeated Jelani Hollis 2-0 in their match in the 1st round of the Tony DeSilva Memorial Cup.
Dakin narrowly took the 1st game, sinking the pink and black to win it 47-37. The rot continued for Hollis in the 2nd, when Dakin completed his 2-0 victory, taking it 63-15.
