Tyler Christopher will be the headline act for the first time in his professional boxing career when he fights on the March Madness card in Birmingham next month.

The Bermudian will step up from four to six rounds against a yet-to-be-determined opponent at the H Suite in Edgbaston on March 25.

It will be the southpaw’s first bout since stopping Harley Marginson in the second round at Planet Ice in Solihull in September last year.

“I’m looking forward to being the main attraction,” Christopher told Bernews. “I’m ready to step up to the plate and achieve good things.

“I’m looking for more exposure and want to grow my fan base. It will also be good to test the water as the headline act.

“Six rounds should suit me. It’s less rushed and will allow me to work on new things. I’m already fit and ready to go.”

Christopher, who trains at the D&A Boxing School of Excellence in Stirchley, Birmingham, said he hopes to extend his winning streak to ten fights by the end of the year.

“I want to keep my undefeated record – that’s paramount,” added Christopher, who said there is a possibility he may fight in Bermuda for the first time as a pro later this year.

“I’m looking for at least five fights and end the year with a record of 10-0.”
