Pineapple, Black Cherry & Mango Dark n Stormy
In addition to the original Dark ‘n Stormy, Goslings has added three new flavours — Pineapple Dark ‘n Stormy, Black Cherry Dark ‘n Stormy, and Mango Dark ‘n Stormy — with all four available in newly designed cans.
“This may be the most significant innovation during my time at Goslings” said E. Malcolm Gosling, 7th Generation and President of Goslings Export Bermuda. “For years we have been discussing line extensions to the Dark ‘n Stormy RTD including Pineapple and Mango flavoured Dark ’n Stormy, which are very popular flavours locally. My son led the project and added Black Cherry. I cannot decide which delicious flavour is my favorite”
Malcolm L. Gosling, the 8th generation of the family and Vice President of Goslings Export Bermuda, led the design team creating the dynamic packaging along with the production team making these four products a reality.
He said, “The previous cans were Dark ’n mysterious with a nautical storm warning flag. The new design has a much more refreshing look and includes the elements, analysis has shown, that are valued by consumers – the seal icon, the Goslings rectangle logo, a nautical association and the words ‘Bermuda’s National Cocktail.’ We are especially excited to share these new products with our fellow Bermudians.”
A spokesperson said, “It was in the 1970’s when the Dark ’n Stormy cocktail was first canned on island, well ahead of the current trend in RTD cocktails. The new Dark ’n Stormy RTD cocktails will be available in FL, CA, MA, NY and RI this month, with most of the remaining states added before summer.
“The convenient four pack 355ml cans are 7% alcohol by volume and will retail island wide for approximately $14.95. The Dark ’n Stormy RTD cocktails are pasteurized to protect freshness and eliminate the need for preservatives. Currently, the Original Dark ’n Stormy, Mango Dark ‘n Stormy and Black Cherry Dark ‘n Stormy are available at your favourite retailer, including our Gosling’s retail stores in Hamilton and online; www.goslingslimited.com. The Bermuda launch of Pineapple Dark ’n Stormy is scheduled for April 2023.
