Keen Cup Final & Open Doubles Results
Warwick Workmen’s Club Two defeated Spanish Point Boat Club Two 4 – 1 to win the Keen Cup at the Sandys Boat Club.
Scott Barnes opened the scoring for Warwick when he defeated Spanish Point Captain, John Orr, 44-30 in the 1st game.
It was 2 – 0 for Warwick when Captain Steven Bremar narrowly overcame Spanish Point’s Chance McLean in a nail-biting finish 61-50.
Billy Wotton got Spanish Point on the board winning the 3rd game defeating Warwick’s Ray DeSilva, 74-29.
Zane DeSilva claimed victory for Warwick when he defeated Spanish Point’s Tyler Moniz, sinking an impressive pink to take the 4th game, 38-26.
In Bermuda Open Doubles Round 1 action, Billy Wotton and John Orr defeated Fred Richardson and Alan Smith 2-1.
Richardson and Smith won the 1st game, 47-26, but Wotton and Orr leveled the match at 1 – 1 after they won the 2nd game, 56-30. Wotton and Orr would then claim victory winning the 3rd game, 77-17.
Scott Barnes and Stephen Roberts defeated Keino Zuill and Sherun Zuill, 2 – 0.
Barnes and Roberts won the 1st game, 66-39, they would then win the 2nd game, 41-34.
Kyle Williams and Aaron Bean defeated Ray DeSilva and Pamela Quadroy 2 – 0.
Williams and Bean won the 1st game, 66-22, before claiming victory winning the 2nd game, 64-24.
