Video Game Design Challenge On April 7 & 8
Bermuda Island Games will be hosting its second annual Video Game Design Challenge on April 7 and April 8.
A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Island Games is proud to present the 2nd Annual Video Game Design Challenge. On Good Friday [April 7th] and Saturday [April 8th], participants can pitch their own video game idea and win cool prizes.
“Special thanks to our sponsors BEDC, Barritt’s, Bermuda Government – Economic Development Department, and Horizon Communications for making it possible.
“This event gives students and adults a chance to use their creativity and work in teams to come up with amazing video game concepts. Tickets for the event cost $25 and will include food and drinks.
“Last year’s mystery theme was about Sharks and we were pleased to have special guests Choy Aming and Sebastian Finkbeiner to share their knowledge. Founder Adrian Lodge also covered some of the basics of video game production and how to pitch your idea.
“This year we have MC Mello and other special guest speakers including Bermuda’s own Harrison Pink who has most recently been working on the Diablo IV video game as a Senior Quest Designer.
“As part of the company’s vision to help build a local video game development industry, Bermuda Island Games is looking to encourage the youth to explore their passion for video games and help them turn that into a potential career.
