Footage from the contest, held in August, shows the L-Sixteen racing yachts competing in the tenth annual championship involving several skippers from the US and two from the RBYC.

The short clip shows sails billowing as the boats, which qualified for the championship after competing in eliminators in the US, hit the start line for the final of the five heats.

Hank Enos, from the Indian Harbour Yacht Club in Greenwich, Connecticut, won the coveted trophy after garnering the highest points total, his victory rewarded with a kiss from his wife outside the RBYC.

    Hi Stephen/Bernews,

Do you know where the archival footage was scanned in or came from?

I’m wondering if there’s a higher quality or original video file for that, as I’d like to see if I can do further processing on it (upscale, dirt/grain removal, improve clarity)
