Hamilton & St George’s Election Results
[Updated] The Corporation of Hamilton and St George’s municipal election took place today [May 11].
A spokesperson said, “The municipal election for the Corporation of Hamilton took place today. Five nominees put their names forward for four Common Councillor seats on the City Board, representing the Hamilton residential community.
“Retaining their seats were current Common Councillors Jenefer Brimmer, RoseAnne Edwards, and George Scott. Shawn Brown was successful in his bid and becomes the newest Councillor at the Corporation of Hamilton.
“A total of 45 ballots were cast.
“Final tallies: Jenefer Brimmer – 34, Shawn Brown – 34, RoseAnn Edwards – 42, George Scott – 32, Henry Ming – 24.
“Tonight’s successful candidates, along with Mayor Gosling and the four Business Councillors, whose seats were not contested, will all be sworn in tomorrow, May 12th, at the City Works Depot at 10:00am.”
