DWD Offers Construction Safety Certification
The Department of Workforce Development [DWD] is offering “tradespersons and individuals in the construction industry or seeking a career in these fields the opportunity to participate in a short four-day course to obtain a valuable qualification.”
A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Workforce Development [DWD] offers tradespersons and individuals in the construction industry or seeking a career in these fields the opportunity to participate in a short four-day course to obtain a valuable qualification.
“Participants will earn National Center for Construction Education and Research [NCCER] certification aligning with international standards through one of six short four-day training courses held at the Department of Workforce Development on:
- May 15 – 18, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
- May 29 – June 1 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
- June 12 – 15, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
- June 26 – 29, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
- July 10 – 13, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
- July 24 – 27, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm
“Complete benefits of the course include:
- DWD Sponsorship
- Occupational Safety training standards recognized by employers
- Access to work experience opportunities – internships, traineeships, apprenticeships
- NCCER construction certified
- Course training for certification to all trades in the construction industry
