Leverock & Florida Advance To Semi-Finals
Kamau Leverock and his Florida Scorpion teammates remain undefeated in the Unity Cup T20 Tournament in Washington DC.
Leverock and his teammates advanced to the semi-finals in the tournament after they defeated the Clarion County Eagles by 6 runs.
Batting first, the Florida Scorpions were bowled out for 151, Gerhard Erasnus was the top scorer with 48, Leverock was out for 1. Carmi Le Roux was the pick of the Clarion County bowlers with figures of 4-0-19-2.
In reply Clarion County fell 6 runs shy of their target as they scored 145/9, Mukhtar Ahmed was the top scorer with 27, while Nawab Singh was the pick of the Florida bowlers with figures of 4-0-26-3, Leverock picked up 3 wickets in his first over to put Florida in a good position to win finished with figures of 4-0-39-3, he also hung onto a catch.
