Run For Memories To Raise Funds For Dementia
The Run for Memories 5K will raise funds for local charity Action on Alzheimer’s and Dementia on Sunday, June 11.
The event features a 5k run, competitive walk and non-competitive run/walk and starts at East End Primary School in St George’s.
Action for Alzheimer’s and Dementia was founded in 2012 to provide support to people living with dementia in Bermuda, along with their families and caregivers.
An estimated 2,000 people are living with dementia on the island.
There will be prize categories in the 5k run for the first, second and third runner [male and female]; Juniors: under-20 runners; Open: 20-39; Masters: 40-49; Seniors: 50-59; Veterans: 60-69; and Legends 70-plus.
Prizes will also be on offer for the first, second and third finishers in the competitive walk.
The number pick-up is on race morning at 7.30 am.
The registration deadline for all races is June 11 at 8.30 am.
